Die partizipative Arbeit „Oh, miss I just love your voice//Oh, I miss your voice / 2021(AT)“ macht menschliche Stimmen als mehrkanalige Soundinstallation hörbar und wird visuell von einer Videocollage umrahmt. Dabei wird weiteres Soundmaterial generiert, indem die Künstlerin in der Ausstellung mit den Besucher*innen spricht. Diese Aufnahmen reiht sie ein in bereits prekonstruierte Aufnahmen, die von der Künstlerin ausgewähltes Interview-, Sprech-und Gesangsmaterial beinhalten. „Die Stimme wird individuell sowie sozial betrachtet, gedeutet und eingeordnet in Kategorien wie Geschlecht, Herkunft, Alter, Milieu sowie charakterliche Züge werden dadurch ab-oder auch anerkannt.“
The human voice is perceived individually as well as socially, interpreted and classified in categories such as gender, cultural background, age, milieu as well as personality. I talk to people in the ar t exhibition as well with amateurs and professionals about their voice, how they consciously use their voice or unconsciously perceive the voices of others. Questions like: Do you listen to voice messages again before you send them? How do people feel if they confront themselves with the sound and facets own voice? How differently do voices work? When do we speak higher? What does voice have to do with gender? A work-in-progress audio work that makes you think about voice(s). The answers recorded so far became audible for the first time on 8 August 2021 in the midst of a sound installation.
Hannah Güse studierte Kulturwissenschaften und Kunstwissenschaften an der Universität Hildesheim und an der Université Paris 8 von 2014 bis 2018. Seit 2018 studiert sie an der Burg Giebichenstein in der Klasse Bildhauerei Metall.
